Shew, it’s hot. This is what we call The Dog Days of Summer. July and August, more specifically July 3rd - August 11th each year. It gets its name from the rising of Sirius, or the Dog Star, and it was believed that the Dog Star brought the heat with it as it rises with the Sun.
