Did you have a tradition of attending the Christmas parade in your hometown or nearby? I remember going to the Strasburg Christmas parade on the first Saturday morning in December. Dad was in the Toms Brook Fire Department, so he was often on their truck in the parade and would toss candy out to kids along the main route through town. We’d fill our pockets with all the candy we could grab. We didn’t care if it’d landed in the gutters; we grabbed it and loved every minute of it.
